How does the Home Perfume
diffuser work?
The perfume and alcohol
solution diffuses up the
porous reed. As the reed
become more saturated over
time, the fragrance will
intensify. To vary the intensity
and refresh the fragrance,
flip as many reed as often as
required.
How often should I flip the
reed..is there any set time?
No, totally up to you. If Home
Perfume is placed in a room
that you spend a lot of time in,
you will tend desensitize to
the fragrance. We suggest
popping it away in a different
room for a few days.
Otherwise simply filp the reed
as mentioned above.
What if I find it too strong,
say in a bedroom or small
bathroom?
Remove as many reed from
the bottle until you find an
intensity that suits you.
How long will Home Perfume
last?
It all depends on the
conditions within your home
or environment which it is
placed. In a dryer environment
the rate of diffusion is greater.
We generally say between 4- 6
months. Although, we have
had feedback that some have
lasted a lot longer.
Initially, it will appear that the
perfume is diffusing and
evapourating fairly quickly.
This will slow down as the
thirsty reed continue to absorb
perfume.
Ashley & Co is unique when it
comes to their packaging and
design of their reed carton.
Once your Home Perfume has
finished, return the reed to the
carton and place in a drawer
or cupboard where they will
continue to fragrance.
Can I buy refills?
Unfortunately not. Once the
reed have been saturated by
the perfume they will not take
to another.
What is the solution made up of?
A large proportion of the
solution is alcohol with a
generous amount of fragrance.
It is safe to be applied to the
skin if a scent appeals. But as
with any perfume, please
discontinue use if irritation
occurs.
How long will the fragrance
last unopened?
The fragrance will last
unopened for 2 - 2.5 years.
However, we reccommend
not to store it at room
temperature, boxed and out
of direct sunlight.
Can I recap my Home Perfume?
if going away?
Absolutely. Just make sure
that you retain your screw
cap when it’s first opened,
and store in a cupboard away
from sunlight.
Why has it changed colour?
This is very normal. Over time
the fragrance in Home
Perfume will tend to darken
when opened and exposed to
sunlight and air.
Are there any precautions?
Yes, It must be remembered
that Home Perfume is an
alcohol based product. It is
flammable and should be kept
away from a naked flame.
It should also be kept out of
reach of small children.
